Lorenzo Bellini is a pianist, composer and bandleader based in London (UK).  Strongly influenced by New York pianists Mulgrew Miller and Kenny Kirkland, Bellini’s composition incorporates a mixture of harmonic depth and melodic clarity and Gospel feel. In 2021 he released his first album, Love Grain (listen here), recorded in BostonIt solely comprises original compositions, played and performed by two different groups, a Jazz Trio  (Ilya Blazh on drums; Sam Smith on double bass) and a wider fusion band.

He was awarded the Berklee Valencia Full Scholarship for the master in Contemporary Performance and a Scholarship by the Royal Academy of Music in London (UK), where he moved after 4 years living in the States, attending the Master in Jazz Piano.

He leads his project mainly with his quartet, gigging around Europe together with Luca De Toni, Andrea Dionisi and Matteo Padoin. The Bellini 4tet was awarded the 1st prize at the prestigious Music 4 The Next Generation Contest in Trento, July 1st 2023.
